Júlia Serrano
(she/her)
Júlia, mother of chihuahuas, has been engaged in finding word-centric work —such as a translator (EN-PT), proofreader, copyeditor and Dungeon master in a long-running RPG campaign. Born in Recife and raised in between Olinda and the state capital, she also tries to follow the academic life of Language and Literature, mainly researching literary translation.
Marília Tourinho
(she/they)
Born in Natal, I grew up moving around Brazil and ended up in Salvador. I’ve been passionate about language and arts since I was a child and now I have a degree in English Language and Literature, a postgraduate degree in Audiovisual Translation, and I work as a translator and illustrator. I love themes related to nature and the LGBTQIAPN+ community!
André Colabelli
(he/him)
Slush reader, copy editor, translator, grim marketer, jack of all trades, master of none.
Public servant by day, nerd by all hours. Based on Santo André, near São Paulo, Brazil. He’s been trying to become a writer for years, but only found mild success when he resorted to extreme measures and actually wrote something. He doesn't know what a social network is.
Iana A.
(she/her)
Founding editor, Translator, Copy editor, Our Lady of Deadlines, Master of words, Manager of the Eita Anarchy.
Iana A. is a writer, translator, copyeditor and line editor, born in Recife in 1989. She was an editor at Revista Pretérita (Portuguese) and is presently co-EIC at Eita! Magazine. In 2020 she took part in the SFWA mentoring program as a mentee under Eugenia Triantafyllou. Iana was a speaker and moderator at Virtual Chicon 8 (2022). She was nominated for the Translation Award Rosetta Awards 2021. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Brazilian microfiction competition Microconto de Ouro.
Renata
(she/they)
Translator, copy editor, proofreader & slushie, geek enthusiast of all things horror... and pets.
Text person, data strategist or simply a depressed-cat-meme-curator? Yes. Based in São Paulo, paying the bills with all sorts of freelance jobs and randomness. Has worked on magazines, comic books, children's books, poem publications and wrote nothing. A huge lover and ethusiast of all things horror, can't wait until they get bit by a vampire or until a cosmic entity comes and destroys everything.
André da Cunha Melo
(he/him)
André was abducted at the age of eight and replaced by an energetic and witty fellow not born on Earth. Pretending to be human, he has been stumbling around, discovering, much to his dissatisfaction, that he is obliged to endure a human invention called "workday" for many, many hours, and every single day. Now less witty, less energetic, André sought ways to soothe his troubled extraterrestrial mind with another human invention: literature. He works as a copyreader and editor, does occasional translations, and is a game master and player in a long-running RPG campaign.
Ingrid Pereira
(she/her)
With a degree in Literature and passion for books, she dedicates herself fervently to the study of afro literatures, besides working as copyeditor and proofreader (in Portuguese). She writes poetry, short stories and other tales that she hasn’t yet shown the world, but her cat and her dog have heard many times. In her free time, she becomes a bit of a witch, learning old medicines and traditions from her grandparents in the yard of her Pernambuco house. However, this woman does not live on herbs and traditions alone: she’s a fierce RPG player and sails between songs of the forest and fiction stories – both written and spoken – that make it to her ears.
Lígia Colares Candido
(she/her)
Lígia Colares is an advertising agent, specialized in strategic marketing, and she has worked in the literature market for over eight years in campaign planning and brand positioning. She has also been an audio describer for over four years.
